Video: How Pure Water Seller Broke Into Tears, After She Received N3.7m For Her Son’s Heart Surgery


A pure water woman identified as Zenabu, was in tears after she received donations in the region of GHc52,000(3.7m), for surgery of her six years old son who has a hole in his heart.

Zenabu’s 6-year-old son, Masawudu was diagnosed with a defect in his heart. Through diagnosis, It was discovered that he has a hole in his heart and would require a surgery that cost N3.7million.

Being a pure water seller, she was unable to afford the said amount for the surgery. Children like Masawudu who require surgery to correct such a defect, usually have issues with breathing and less strength for physical activities if not corrected.

It is a pain as a mother to watch a child suffer in such a manner, as some of them with that condition, may require multiple surgeries. The father of the boy, had initially labeled her as ‘bad luck’ for giving birth to such a child.

Zenabu had initially lamented that she would require financial aid to be able to help her son. It was at this time, that a charity organization, Crime Check Foundation, decided to help her. The group disclosed her need on its Facebook platform, and was able to raise GHc52,000($9,000).

Zenabu broke down in tears after the news was of the financial support was broken to her. She could barely contain her joy as she burst into tears.
