EPHRAIM INYANG SPONSORS MEDICAL OUTREACH TO MARK HIS BIRTHDAY

No fewer than Two hundred and eighty five (285) persons have benefitted from the free medical outreach carried by the some medical experts drawn across Akwa Ibom State.

The programme, held at the hometown of the State Commissioner for Works, Mr. Ephraim Akparawa Inyang-Eyen at Ikot Ebiere, ONNA Local Government Area, was sponsored by the Commissioner to celebrate his birthday in line with his commitment of championing the cause of his people.

A total of four medical doctors, four laboratory scientists, four pharmacists, four physiotherapists and ten support staff were on hand to attend to patients

Leader of the team of doctors; Dr Obeten Ekpo, while eulogizing the sponsor of the free medical outreach; Mr Inyang-Eyen, for always giving back to the society, stated that, many people were suffering from various diseases ignorantly and called for increase in awareness creation.

Some of the services they rendered were, free health talks, medical check-up and consultations, laboratory investigations, malaria, typhoid, kidney function test, cholesterol, prostrate and blood sugar tests and drugs.

Some of the beneficiaries thanked the Commissioner for his benevolence and prayed God to grant him continued good health as he marked his birthday.

Checks reveal that Mr. Inyang-Eyen has been engaging in humanitarian works before his assumption of office as the State Commissioner for Works.

According to him, his resolve to use medical outreach to mark his birthday was because of its significance to human existence.

“Health they say is wealth. So, no society can develop educationally, socially or economically without good health.

“As God would continue to give us the wherewithal, I will also continue in this direction in order to assist the less privileged in our society who cannot afford medical finances”, Inyang-Eyen submitted.
