“What do you think will happen to anyone who slaps Buhari?”
The question was posed by Concerned Nigerians – a human rights group – hours after French President Emmanuel Macron was slapped in the face.
The 43-year-old politician was on an official visit to the southeast of France on Tuesday, June 8 when the incident happened.
Two people, including the man who attacked the president, are said to have been arrested.
There has yet to be any information about the identity of the attacker or why he slapped the President.

Back home, Nigerians have jumped into the world of imagination, wondering what would be the outcome of such an incident in Africa’s most populous nation where a man was once arrested for naming a dog after the president.
Veteran journalist and publisher Dele Momodu said if someone slapped Buhari, such a person “will die, resurrect, die, multiple times!!!”
Someone slapped the French President EMMANUEL MACRON? If you try it with MUHAMMADU BUHARI, in fact, you will die, resurrect, die, multiple times!!! pic.twitter.com/teZaVpOCZQ

Former presidential aide and lawyer Reno Omokri agreed. According to him, former President Goodluck Jonathan “was stoned in Katsina Jan 21, 2015, in Bauchi Jan 22, 2015 and Yola, Jan 29, 2015. There was no shooting. @EmmanuelMacron was slapped today. Same thing”. He added: “One man slapped French President @EmmanuelMacron, and nobody died… Twitter slapped Buhari on the wrist, now the whole of Nigeria is being punished!”

Macron was courageous enough to come close to the people he leads. Unfortunately Buhari does not have that courage to even speak to the people he rules, talk more of coming anywhere close them

And maybe they later found out the persons name is Chika,Emeka or Chukwu…. Lie Mohammed will say it’s treason, Garba shehu will say it’s nnamdi Kanu that sent him, Adamu Garba will say it’s a war on the north and finally Buhari will declare state of emergency on south east.

Buhari took Twitter’s deletion of his tweet as a slap on his face, hence the Twitter ban. Now imagine he was actually slapped physically. He’ll ban that person & his entire generation from earth, ban the use of the device used to record it & the media platforms that uploads it
